This privacy policy applies to the website photodelete.app. The PhotoDelete app has its own privacy policy.

2. Summary
This website is purely informational. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies, tracking or analytics tools, social media plugins, external fonts or third-party scripts, and we show no ads. All content, including the store buttons, is loaded from our own web space.
3. Hosting and delivery by Cloudflare
The website is served via Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the previously visited page (referrer) and your browser and operating system (user agent).
The purpose is to deliver the website, keep it stable and protect it against attacks such as overload attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a secure and fast website.
How long technical data is retained depends on the data type, the processing purpose and the Cloudflare services used. Key criteria include whether the data is needed to operate and secure the website and whether legal retention obligations apply. Section 11 of Cloudflare's privacy policy provides further details on these criteria and subsequent deletion or destruction of the data.
We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare under Art. 28 GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so transfers to the USA are covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).
To fend off attacks, Cloudflare may in individual cases set a strictly necessary cookie (for example "__cf_bm"). It serves security purposes only and is permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
4. Links to the App Store
The download buttons are plain links. Only when you tap them are you taken to Apple's App Store, where Apple's privacy policy applies. The links contain a campaign identifier that tells Apple you came from this website. We only receive aggregated numbers and no data about you as a person.
On Apple devices, Safari may show a banner pointing to the app (Smart App Banner). Safari retrieves the information for this from Apple itself.
5. Contact by email
If you send us an email, we process your details to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract or pre-contractual steps are concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to handle your request.
Emails to addresses at photodelete.app are forwarded to our Gmail mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. Gmail is provided in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To receive, store and reply to messages, the providers involved process data including sender and recipient addresses, message contents, attachments and technical connection data.
Google may also process data in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the certified recipient can rely on the adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy and its information on international data transfers.
We delete your request once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state where you live.
